For the Future
is a church-wide journey to inspire us to live and give beyond ourselves.
This Journey Includes
...a six-week message series and small group experience. No matter where we are in our walk with Christ, He’s always encouraging and inspiring each of us to take our next step and do our part in Reaching People and Building Lives.
Together, we’ll grow in our relationship with God and build our faith as we look beyond where we are now and trust God with what’s to come. Join us as we discover what God wants us to do in our family, church, and community as we build For the Future.
Project Update
It’s time to Rebuild, Raise up, Repair and Restore!
We hit the ground running in 2024 and haven’t slowed down one bit. Work on the Oak Park campus was already underway by the first of the year and would begin at Kinder by March. By the end of the year, both campuses were up and running at full speed. It would not be an overstatement to call it a miracle. God truly has been with us every step of the way.
However, if we’ve learned anything from the aftermath of Hurricane Laura, it is that the church is not a building or a service. The church is people; people who have faced their own great challenges and come through them stronger. And our church family has come through stronger. It was the year that we saw scores of men set aside their facades, get honest and become the men that God meant for them to be through Fight Club. It was our most engaging year ever in small groups as more people than ever before connected and grew in their relationships with God and each other.
The church is people and we’ve got more people to make space for!
We still have the same mission, a mission to Reach People and Build Lives in Southwest Louisiana. It’s a call to Rebuild families and faith. It’s a call to Raise up hope and homes in our community again. It’s a call to Repair relationships and Restore hearts back to the Father.
For the Future is an all-church campaign designed to meet the $3M needed to fund the three expansion projects that will allow us as the church, the people of God, to continue to Reach People and Build Lives. We aren’t content with what God has done through us in the past alone. We are believing that He will continue to do great things through us now and For the Future.

Stories of Lives Changed
Throughout For the Future, you will find stories of changed lives from our own people at Church of the King. These stories remind us of the incredible things God is continually doing through our church to reach people for Jesus and help them find belonging in a spiritual family. We hope these stories inspire and encourage you as we go on this journey together!
